About CFI Property
CFI Property is an associated company of Corporate Finance Ireland Ltd, a leading corporate finance firm established in 1987 (www.cfi.ie). CFI Property has transacted in excess of a €1 billion of property syndications since the mid 1990’s, €700 million of which have been tax based.
Tax based investments completed include retail (i.e. portfolios at The Square, Tallaght Town Centre and Skycourt, Shannon Town Centre) and office investments (portfolios at the IFSC, Eastpoint Business Park, Cork Airport Business Park and Park West Business Park). CFI Property has also arranged tax syndicates for a number of hotels, blocks of student accommodation, crèches and wind farms. In approximately 80% of tax-advantaged transactions completed by CFI Property, co-investors own the underlying property in addition to benefiting from the valuable allowances attaching to the property. CFI Property has a track record in successfully exiting from its syndicated transactions. In 2006 CFI Property and co-investors sold a tax based property syndicate for a very significant profit (300% return over 5 yrs net of tax claw back) and exited a retail investment in Central Europe generating a gross return of 50% in less then 12 months after acquisition. CFI Property have significant property assets in the UK (Government offices and retail) continental Europe (prime office and retail) and currently owns and manages (along with co-investors) six shopping centre portfolios in Ireland.
