August 2009: Advisor to the management of Dublin Aerospace in the >€15m fundraising to acquire assets from SR Technics
Dublin Aerospace was a start-up company, founded to leverage the opportunity left by the exit of SR Technics from the Irish market. CFI were the advisors to the management during a €15+ fundraising. Funds were being used to acquire some of SR Technics assets, and to provide start-up working capital. Funds were provided by the founder Conor McCarthy, Enterprise Ireland, EADS (France) and private investors.
July 2009: Advisor to existing investors during OASIS fundraising
CFI acted as an advisor, principally to the existing investor group, during a €5m fundraising from US private equity investor, Housatonic.
June 2009: Advisors to the principals of the Larkin Partnership
CFI acted as advisor to the principals of the Larkin Partnership in their merger with Leo Burnett & Asscociates. The transaction brought together two of Ireland's leading advertising agencies.
May 2009: Advisors to Aqueduct Investment International Ltd. during €1.5m fundraising
Aqueduct is a start-up company with an innovative design for a new water dispenser using a "bag-in-the-box" principle. The Comapny raised €1.5m from a private investor to begin commercialisation. CFI acted as corporate finance advisor during the fundraising.
CFI acted as advisor to the management team in the founding of Aldus Aviation, an Irish based international leasing company focused on the ownership and leasing of Embraer's E-Jet . The company acted as corporate finance advisor from the initial concept through the initial funding.
July 2008: Advisors to the management of Argutus Medical on the spin out from Biotrin
Following the acquisition by Daisorin, the biomarker division of Biotrin was spun out as a new company, Argutus Medical. Argutus is owned by the original Biotrin shareholders and has been funded by them to date.
July 2008:Advisors to the management and shareholders of Biotrin Group during the acquisition by DiaSorin S.p.A, Saluggia, Italy
Biotrin Group was acquired by DiaSorin S.p.A, Saluggia, Italy for >€20m. CFI advised the shareholders (the management team) during the process.
March 2008: Advisors to the management and shareholders of OASIS in £6m acquisition
CFI were the advisors to the management and shareholders of records management company, Offiste Archive Storage and Integrated Services Ltd. ("OASIS") during a £6m fundraising to acquire the business and assets of UK company, Southern File & Data Management. Debt was provided for the transaction by Bank of Ireland; equity funding was provided by the existing shareholders and private investors.
December 2007: Advisors to the management team in a £1m windfarm BES fundraising
CFI were the advisors to the management team in a £1m BES fundraising to fund rhe development of a 15MW windfarm in Muingnaminnane, Co. Kerry. Debt was provided by Ulster Bank, the BES funding came from private investors.
May 2007: Advisors to NH managers on the €18m acquisition of two nursing homes in Dublin
CFI were the advisors to NH Managers, on their acquisition of Manor Care plc. Manor Care owns and runs two nursing homes in South Dublin. The total transaction was €18m. Debt was provided by Ulster Bank, equity came from private investors.
April 2007: Advisors to the founding management team in Global Reach Capital
CFI were the advisors to the founding management team in a new financial services firm, Global Reach Capital. The transaction involved the acquisition of two existing companies, plus raising >€5m in development capital. Global Reach Capital is licensed under the Investment Intermediaries Act to provide a range of financial services to the Irish market, including stockbroking, asset management and wealth management. Equity was provided by private investors.
March 2007: Advisors to management team in >€17m MBO
CFI were the advisors to the management team of The City Bin Co. in a transaction which included the byuout of a 51% majority shareholder and the acquisition of a waste transfer station in Galway. Banking was provided by Ulster Bank and equity by management, staff and private investors.
January 2007: Advisors to Our Digital Universe (Muzu) in €800k seed financing round
Founded in 2006, Muzu is designed as a web based business platform for bands and labels to generate revenue. CFI advised the promoters during a seed funding round of €800k. Funds were provided by Enterprise Ireland and private investors.
August 2006: Advisors to Management of Biotrin in buyout of major shareholder
In 2003 CFI advised Management during their MBO. At that time an industry partner, Dr. Scmidt Biotech invested alongside Enterprise Ireland and Anglo Irish Bank to fund the MBO. 3 years later, CFI again acted as advisors to the Management during the buyout of Dr. Schmidt. Funds were again provided by Anglo Irish Bank.
January 2006: Advisors to Rockall in €300k BES fundraising
Following on from the successful BES fundraising in 2004, CFI again advised Rockall Technologies on a further fundraising to complete their BES capacity. In the last year the company has further increased its US business, and was also shortlisted in ISA Awards.
