Peter Blessing

Peter is a qualified engineer and Chartered Accountant. He spent a number of years working as a computer consultant with KPMG, and subsequently worked for many years in merchant banking having held senior positions in Allied Irish Banks plc and Credit Lyonnais. He serves on the boards of a number of companies. He is a member of the Advisory Committee of the Gensec Venture Capital Fund.

James McCarthy

James is a graduate of UCD, is a solicitor by profession and holds an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. He subsequently held a senior position in the corporate treasury division of a large UK based multi-national after which he joined CFI where he has worked for over 10 years. He is an acknowledged expert in the area of fund raising for private companies, particularly in the area of development capital and management buy-outs.

Luke J. Mooney

Luke is a graduate of UCD, and is a Chartered Accountant with extensive merchant banking and commercial banking experience who has specialises in providing financial and strategic advice to high growth companies.

Sarah Moores

Sarah joined CFI in November 2001. She has a first class honours degree in Natural Sciences (Chemistry) from Cambridge University, and an MBA from the University of Texas. She spent two years with McKinsey & Co as a consultant in the London Office working on a broad range of projects and sectors. Subsequent to this, she spent a number of years in the technology sector working for Psion plc, Misys plc, and eKit, an Australian start-up telecomms company. During her MBA Sarah spent time working for STARTech Early Ventures, a hi-tech seed fund and incubator based in Dallas, Texas.

Michael Semple

Michael was a co-founder of CFI in 1987. A Chartered Accountant, he has a merchant banking background having held senior positions in ICC Bank plc and Allied Irish Banks plc. He has extensive experience of corporate finance, strategic advice and is founder of Surrenda-Link Limited the largest purchaser in the UK of traded endowment policies, he also serves on the boards of a number of companies.
